The tropical summer storms have passed. I escaped the worse but the yard’s a mess. The earth has swollen to twice its size; so full of water, it's pouring out her belly, down the hill and bringing my little stream back to life.
According to Aboriginal Dreamtime, this is where the Rainbow Serpent tail begins. In the torrential rains, she flicks, bends and twists diving deep beneath the land and appearing again wherever water rises to the surface. She’ll do this all the way across the land till she reaches the other side. Then, under the earth and out of sight, she'll go to sleep again till the next rains.
At the moment, the sun's trying to peek through a few rips in the clouds. It seems like ages since it's been here so, while I wait, I'll post some bright, pretty pop sounds I've been listening to to lighten things up.
