Mind the mind

The way mind processes data reflects in its offspring, the computer.
However, the coordination capabilities of latter improve continuously, whereas mind seems to have problems handling the increase of external & internal, objective & subjective data.
More often than not, this is blamed on its hardware, i.e. the physiological aspects, yet rarely on the programs that coordinate the data, despite that many of them are obviously outdated, inefficient, hijacked by emotions and/or malwares which question the capabilities and sometimes even deny the functions of mind, thus impeding the possibility to repair & update its software.
But to alter something requires knowledge and understanding of its structures and dynamics – in this case of the mind. Lamentably, the mind of Sapiens knows more about molecules and galaxies than about itself. Not because Self-knowledge is an impossible task – after all everyone spends a lifetime with/in his/her mind – but because of millennia of systematic self-denial and subjection to external, superior, eternal etc powers called god, fate and whatever else seems suitable to cover up a lack of Self-responsibility.
Admittedly, Self-response-ability can be a pain in the butt – yet it can also be a blessing, as it may entail the realisation that all (external/internal/subjective/objective) phenomenon are interrelated - and coordinated by/in the mind.

Note,
The Human Connectome Project
http://www.humanconnectomeproject.org/

Mapping of the human connectome offers a unique opportunity to understand the complete details of neural connectivity (Sporns et al., 2005, Wedeen et al., 2008, Hagmann et al., 2007).

The Human Connectome Project (HCP) is a project to construct a map of the complete structural and functional neural connections in vivo within and across individuals.

The HCP represents the first large-scale attempt to collect and share data of a scope and detail sufficient to begin the process of addressing deeply fundamental questions about human connectional anatomy and variation.

We have now mapped the whole of the human genome which was once thought as impossible.

We are on our way to understand more details of the whole neural connectivity of the human brain. Once we have achieved some reasonable degree then we will be in a better position to understand the mind towards realizing more of its potentials [mindful to prevent abuses].

The brain and mind operate like a computer only to some degrees but never exactly.

There are possibly as many opinions about mind, as there are users – yet, most of them agree that mind plays a central role in their life.

The mind invokes the universe – the universe nourishes the mind.

Passive mind relies upon a reality – creative/active mind relies upon its imagination.

Mind should be at liberty to do as it will

The reflection/projection capability of mind is the cause of many of its controversies – and their solution as well, since it can bring about a self-awareness that supersedes subjective/objective, internal/external, me/you dualism and respective mirror-labyrinths.

Mind can be viewed as a condensation of Consciousness – a microcosm that relates the macrocosm. In such case macrocosm is the inter/extrapolation space (sphere) of microcosms.

“The Khabs is in the Khu, not the Khu in the Khabs.” (Liber Al vel Legis)
Khabs = matter
Khu = energy, light)

"What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses" (Einstein)

The relativity theory appeared at the same time as “Liber Al vel Legis” (also known as “Book of the Law”). Both brought about profound changes in the way we conceive and handle energy & matter, consciousness & mind.

“Being great enough to pervade the whole Universe, mind should not be busied with trivialities ” (Hui Neng)

If useless things do not clutter your mind,you have the best days of your life. (Zen saying)

you gotta be careful when talking about 'mind' in the possessive form of representation - i.e., that we 'have' minds - unless you wish only to speak with poetic metaphors. but these metaphors are the very things that have gotten the philosophy of mind into so much trouble... not to mention the fact that not a single so called 'problem' identified by philosophers of 'mind' in the last two thousand years, has been resolved. could that because they've been asking nonsensical questions? and what if even contemporary neuroscientists are experiencing the same confusion about what the 'mind' is?

let uncle pete tell you a story (he's from the wittgensteinian special ops team)....

If consciousness is an inter/extrapolation dynamic*, mind reinvents itself continuously.

correct, because the mind is not a space or container.

Mind can imprison as well as liberate itself. Liberating is an act of Will & Love and can thus bring about Selfrealisation.

Ive resolved the question but as it turns out most people are just pissed off at the resolution. It seems only strong hearts are capable of accepting the truth of the mind.

Mind gets into trouble when applying off/on, good/bad, yes/no switches, as they tend to impede the flow of data that constitute mind.
