Yeah it's crazy. They stiffed a bunch of airlines on large bills and expelled all US diplomats and basically you have to go to retarded places to find flights there.

You can't really drive there too easily either because they made enemies of both Colombia and Brazil.

Also, those borders are the homes of some of the world's bloodiest gangs, including the famous FARC.

Heroin trade to the West, illegal mining to the South.

Mining gangs are low key the single most fucked up on the planet, including the decapitating Mexican gangs.

They will literally hit a whole village up in helicopters and shoot every man woman and child down with AKs.

To the East there's Guyana, but there literally aren't even any roads that link the two.

Also mining gangs.

Guyana is the place where John Jones made all those people drink cool-aid.

I believe the dudes that shot down all the people that wouldn't with AKs were affiliated with the mining gangs.

All that means is that there is some really valuable shit under the earth.

Xom made Guyana a shitload of money. Meanwhile, the Venezuelan state oil enterprise that "nationalized" the only profitable wells later went broke.

B-R-O-K-E

Sitting ont he world's largest proven oil reserves.

Broke.

Venezuela does not export oil.

By the way, oil was already "nationalized." The only way Xom and the like could operate there was as contractors and letting the gvt have 51% of the profit. Then Chavez came around and started demanding even more outrageous conditions, often straight up demanding piles of cash, until all the big oil companies were literally flying their asses out of the place with the world's largest proven oil reserves. By the time the government "nationalized" oil (again, I guess), it was a joke, Exon just had rights to some wells that it wasn't even operating because of the prohibitive costs, or some might say extortion.

They were like fuck this, Guyanese like money.

Then the glorious revolutionary government threatened to make war on Guyana because it wanted its oil. But it was another joke because they were broke as fuck and Guyana was like fuck you, Exon is going to be extracting this shit for us.

Or, sorry, I guess your twitter girlfriends with their two-sentence blurbs about Exxon exploiting the poor people of whereverthefuck are probably right. They are probably super informed and interested in the truth, totally not on a moral outrage high on shit they are vaguelly superficially familiar with.

Do you know what fascism means? The word? Or would that be capitalist fancy book learning?

Do you know anything about its history? What its creators like Mussolini wrote about it? Do you know where it comes from? Its rationale?

Do you just spout what the last person you heard talking said?
