Philosophers are defined by their independence. The idea of a conventional philosopher is thus a contradiction in terms. That is, a philosopher that makes no decisions of their own and always submits to the dictates of authority, the “common sense” and social norms. So, no matter what your personal philosophy is, don’t be a conventional philosopher!
